enterprise for Wistaston.

“The Memorial Hall’s officers worked so hard to run the event. People who visited were most generous to buy so many tickets – a record 900 ducks were released.

“I was pleased to hear the stall holders and charities did so well. The children were excited and enthusiastic to see their boats in action.

“It was a quacking great success!”

A stall selling refreshments was run by the Wistaston 35th South West Cheshire Venture Scouts, under the guidance of Keith Sarson. Scouts included John Mainwaring, Andrew Perry, Toby Molyneux, Danny Rowland, Sam Spencer and Jack Young.

All proceeds will go to the Wistaston Memorial Hall & Community Centre, Church Lane, Wistaston.

The event was sponsored by Cheshire Conservatories and Windows Ltd and Crewe Cine & Video Club.
