Some familiar faces will be on stage at Crewe Lyceum later this month when a highly-acclaimed new play comes to town.

Kiss Chase, which opens on May 28, stars Stephen Beckett, Jenny Funnell, Marcus Hutton and Ben Roddy.

The play tells the story of a school reunion 30 years on and how the mystery of a friend’s death unravels during the get-together.

John Dean, played by Hutton, goes to the reunion looking for the chance to show everyone how he’s changed.

But when he gets locked in the school gym with a handful of his old enemies, the mood turns dark as they talk about the old days.

The last summer they were at school, John’s girlfriend Susannah died in a house fire and he never really recovered.

Over the course of the reunion it becomes apparent the people with John were more involved in the night of her death than he ever suspected.

Hutton is founder a member of the Brighton based Radio City Theatre Company, and the voice by many tv advertising campaigns, amassing over 7,000 credits.

Beckett, who plays Mike, will be remembered from TV shows like The Bill, Coronation Street, Casualty and Holby City.

Funnell, who plays Debbie, is widely remembered for her many years starring in As Time Goes By sitcom with Judi Dench and Geoffrey Palmer.

And Roddy, who plays Pete, has appeared in dozens of hit theatre and musical theatre shows, as well as on TV in Doctor Who and Innocent Crimes.

The one hour 50 minute show will be held on May 28, 29 and 30.
