The Very Best In Stand Up is back in town with the latest Nantwich Civic Hall show set for February 7.

And promoters have lined up four quality comedy acts for the first gig of 2014.

Compere and host will be acerbic Irishman Michael Legge.

BAFTA-nominated Legge, well known as Dave Gorman’s sidekick on The Absolute Radio Show, has no-nonsense views on the world and it’s ills are a fantastic treat.

First act of the night is Rob Rouse (pictured).

Rob is known for presenting Channel 4’s ‘The Friday Night Project’ as well as appearances on ‘8 Out of 10 Cats’.

He has been headlining clubs worldwide since winning the prestigious “So You Think You’re Funny” award in 1998.

Next up is Geordie funnyman Kai Humphries, regarded as one of the top young talents on the comedy circuit.

His infectious enthusiasm and high-octane delivery of genuinely hilarious, surreal and delightfully optimistic material has seen him rapidly shooting up the professional comedy ranks lighting up the faces of audiences.

Kai makes his debut at The Very Best In Stand Up.

Closing the show will be Jarred Christmas, who made a huge impact with his first appearance in Nantwich in 2011.

The Kiwi comic is renowned for his energetic stage presence and has made appearances on shows such as “Never mind the Buzzcocks” and “The Jonathan Ross Show”.

The show takes place on Friday February 7. Tickets are £10, available from Nantwich Civic Hall and www.civiccomedy.co.uk

Doors open 7.15pm, show starts 8.15pm.
