  1. Power was finally restored to homes and the school on Broad Lane at 03:00 on Friday 14th February.

As a result of the storm on Wednesday, there were 5 fallen trees partially blocking Broad Lane, along a half mile stretch. Given the high volume of traffic resulting from London Road and M6 closures, and the speeds that vehicles were travelling, it is a wonder that there wasn’t at least one serious accident due to vehicles swerving into oncoming traffic to avoid the trees!

  2. Houses and school on broad lane still without power went off yesterday @4.30 pm SP have been working on network since early evening today they say next up date will be 4 pm tomorrow afternoon.
