South Cheshire College has forged new links with a Nantwich-based social media marketing company.

Momentum Factor Europe is to have a permanent base at the college’s Crewe campus, moving from its Stapeley office.

The company aims to help the college develop new business partnerships and provide opportunities for students.

Momentum Factor, which celebrated its first anniversary in April, will help the college develop social media platforms and engage with students and business across the community.

The organisation has outgrown its previous Stapeley office and is looking to expand its team by locating at South Cheshire College.

Jamie Stewart, Momentum Factor managing director, said: “We are excited to announce we are taking up new offices at South Cheshire College.

“We’re already involved in some projects to provide work experience for college students and are looking forward to developing further links.

“We’re also working on a wider Crewe initiative, the newly formed Youth Employment Partnership (YEP) to create employment opportunities for local young people.

“This is an exciting time for both of our organisations and also for the South Cheshire area.”

Mr Stewart is spearheading a local initiative called South Cheshire First – a collaboration between five business leaders to provide a competition targeting 18-25 year olds.

The competition aims to find the next Alan Sugar, with a prize of more than £5,000 up for grabs, and will be judged at South Cheshire College on July 1.

South Cheshire College Principal Jasbir Dhesi said: “We are excited to have Momentum Factor on board and hopefully this is the start of a win-win partnership for both organisations.

“Momentum Factor are going from strength to strength and can help us to engage more effectively with local businesses and students in the region.

“In return for their help and expertise, we are delighted to offer them a permanent office base at our Crewe campus.”
