Jamie Little, fly-half for Crewe and Nantwich RUFC, against Walsall

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC will start their new 2014-15 campaign without star fly-half Jamie Little.

The Vagrants coach Andy Brown revealed that the number 10 will no longer be playing because of work commitments.

Crewe & Nantwich open their campaign on August 30 in the Cheshire Vase clash at home against Anselmians, and already back in training.

Brown said: “Jamie has a new job and cannot play on Saturdays for the foreseeable future.

“Jamie has been an outstanding player for the club and we often take his goal kicking prowess for granted as he calmly slots another goal.

“He has developed his game management over the last couple of years and has become an outstanding 10 both with boot and distribution.

“He punches well above his weight in the tackle and his shoes will be difficult to fill next season.

“We wish him every success in the future.”

Crewe & Nantwich begin life in a higher league in Midlands West 1 with an away match at Walsall on September 6.
