Abba show at Crewe Lyceum

The ABBA Reunion Tribute Show arrives at the Crewe Lyceum on September 7.

The two-hour spectacular celebrates the 40th anniversary of the group’s classic Waterloo.

The World Class International live show, starring the original ‘Frida’ from London’s West End, is in South Cheshire for one night only.

The show, produced by Sweeney Entertainment, will feature all the hits of ABBA from the point they took Europe by storm in 1974 when they won the Eurovision Song Contest with Waterloo.

Their songs have featured in most popular hit movies including Muriel’s Wedding and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

In 1999, their songs were adapted into the successful musical Mamma Mia which has grossed over $2 billion worldwide.

ABBA Reunion was created after a four-month run in London’s West End, and a four-year European tour.

The lyrics and music are recreated by all six performers on stage, visually and audibly, with a focus on the 1977 and 1979 concert footage and an injection of music video looks, flamboyant costumes and dance moves.

The show has earned rave reviews for its “superbly accurate vocals, mannerisms, outstanding authentic choreography and a full live-band” as well as its “stunning replica costumes”.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm on Sunday September 7, are available from the Lyceum Box Office, 01270 368242, or visit https://crewelyceum.co.uk/Online/
