league title Railway Hotel FC, Nantwich, league and cup double winners

Railway Hotel kept their charge on leaders FC Semtex in the Crewe Regional Sunday League Premier Division.

Railway (pictured) moved up to second place ending Sydney Arms unbeaten record with a 4-1 win.

Vinny Pownall opened the scoring for Sydney Arms before Matt Cope scored either side of half time to give the Railway the lead, further goals from Lee Mellor and JJ Bailey completed the victory.

FC Semtex beat one of their rivals Square One 5-2 with goals from Danny Roberts (2), Ricky Mellor, Billy Ledwards and Malc Bostock. Mike Chesters and Liam Murray replied for Square One.

Willaston White Star warmed up for their Cheshire FA Sunday Cup game with a 4-1 win over Crewe Athletic, Moat and Blundell both scored twice for Willaston with Wayne Beggs getting the consolation for Crewe Ath.

NHB led 4-0 at half time against Ocean but a remarkable turnaround saw the game end 5-5.

Dan Ball (2), Henry Buckley (2) and Sam Lloyd scored for NHB with Mohan (2), Parker, Healey and own goal for Ocean.

Mike Blundell scored five first half goals as AFC Leopard led 8-0 at half time v Talbot.

The half time team talk must have helped as Talbot scored twice without conceding any.

Other scorers for AFC Leopard were Callum Hassall, Jay Collina and James Bailey. Rory Saunders and Mikey Truan scored for Talbot.

In Division One, leaders Leighton won 4-0 in a game of many missed chances at both ends, Jonathan Hawkins, Danny Rogerson, Tom Edwards and Liam Walker scoring.

Santa Maria moved up the table with a 4-2 win over Faddiley Dan Hughes, Ben Reddock, Martin Chesters and Dominik Latham scoring for Santa Maria with Ryan Barnett and Ash Lawton replying for Faddiley.

Wistaston Ath needed a late equaliser to share the points with Crewe FC, Tom Darby scored both goals for Crewe FC with Jordan Smith and the late goal from Ryan Broadhurst for Wistaston.

Salvador won 2-1 at Rising Sun thanks to goals from Dave Ratcliffe and Tom Edge, Ryan Hughes scored for Rising Sun.

Kane Fletcher scored four times for Boot & Shoe Villa in a 5-3 win over Bank Corner, the other goal coming from Rob Heyward.

Alex Lindsay, Chris Card and Scott Slaney for Bank Corner.

Nantwich YF’s goal-scoring form continued with a 8-1 win over bottom club Audlem, Chris Cliffe netting a hat-trick, Richard Ford (2), Simon Roberts (2), Richard Fotheringham completed the scoring, Pete Jones grabbed the Audlem goal.

Sandbach Town won the local derby match with Rookery Tavern by the odd goal with a 3-2 win.

Tim Lamb scored twice with Andy Bailey also scoring. Scott Hayward and an own goal scored for Rookery.
