Plants and books for sale in aid of Nantwich Museum funds (1)

The popular Plant and Book Sale organised by Nantwich Museum Trust will take place at the museum in Pillory Street this Saturday June 6.

The event, between 10am and 12.30pm, will offer a wide selection of plants and books available for sale in aid of museum funds.

There will also be a chance to buy items made by the museum’s craft group.

A spokesman said: “The museum would appreciate any donations of books or plants for the event.”

The museum is also hosting an exhibition of art from the local QuinQue group of painters, printers and illustrators.

The exhibition has opened in the Community Gallery – Your Space – and is due to run until Saturday July 18.

QuinQue is a group of five artists seeking to encourage wider ownership of original art.

The group meets to share ideas for personal development in the expression of the visual arts.

Each member has her own special areas of interest including botanical painting, linocut printmaking, watercolour, acrylics and oils.

  1. We bought a spider plant and Angelica after a tour of old and new at the museum. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the museum as an educational and enlightening afternoon out. There is always something going on there. We will certainly be back.
