A new Willaston Neighbourhood plan could help the village fend off “unsustainable” development, claims Cheshire East Council Leader Michael Jones.

The council has backed Willaston’s effort to adopt a Neighbourhood plan which enables residents to have a say in the development they want where they live.

This year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power near Nantwich will host the world’s only flying Vulcan – on its last ever flight in Cheshire.

The Vulcan to the Sky Trust, which owns and operates the aircraft, has announced that 2015 will be the final flying season for the Vulcan XH558.

Hardy athletes battled strong winds and rain to compete in the Cheshire Triathlon in Nantwich, writes Jonathan White.

Hundreds took part in a 200 or 500m swim in the outdoor brine pool, a 20km bike ride, and finishing with a 2.5km or 5km run around Barony Park.

The second Alzheimers 100 charity cycle ride will take place in Nantwich on June 7.
