four comedians at comedy night october 2015

Another top line-up of comedians will be performing in Nantwich at the latest Very Best In Stand Up this week.

Four funnymen will take to the stage at Nantwich Civic Hall on Friday in the second show of the season.

Compere is Phil Ellis, who won last year’s panel prize at the Edinburgh Festival for his show Fun and Gamez, a child friendly show laced with over-their-heads humour for the adults that the BBC were quick to snap up.

Also in the one-to-watch category is Dane Baptiste, a comedian enjoying a fast rise up the comedy ladder with several TV appearances.

The show also brings back Lloyd Langford, who will be no stranger to many having appeared on many TV shows such as “Ask Rhod Gilbert”, “Q.I.” and “Never Mind The Buzzcocks”.

And headline act this week, Joe Lycett, needs no introduction.

Lycett has had a storming 12 months with stints on “Live at The Apollo”, “8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown” and “Sunday Night at the Palladium” among others.

This date is sandwiched in between Lycett’s 40+ date tour – most of which have now sold out.

Civic Comedy promoters said: “One thing’s for sure – there’s at least a couple of acts on this bill who’ll be too big to bring Nantwich again!”

The show this Friday (October 2) and tickets are on sale at £10 from the Civic Hall direct or from the SeeTickets link at www.civiccomedy.co.uk

A limited number of table reservations are available to groups of six or more on a first come, first basis.

Doors open at 7.15pm and the show starts at 8.15pm.
