Heavy rain and water-logged pitches forced some Crewe Regional Sunday games to be called off.

But NHB and Sydney Arms did play, both reaching the semi-final stage of the Premier Division Cup with narrow away victories.

A Sean Owen strike was enough to see Sydney Arms through at the expense of AFC Leopard.

NHB beat Rising Sun 2-1, Nick Ball and Archie McGregor scoring for NHB with Curtis Rodgers replying for Rising Sun.

In the Premier Division, Square One moved up to second in the table with an 8-0 win over Leighton with a hat-trick from Blundell, two from Lines, and goals from Newton, Hawkins and Ledwards.

Salvador, thanks to a Keiron Banks hat-trick, beat Talbot 3-2. Alex Jones and a Mickey Welch penalty scorers for Talbot.

In the Division One Cup, Matt Warr of Bank Corner hit five goals in a 6-2 win at Audlem, Andy Garrett also scored.

Connor and Brad Jones replied for Audlem.

Nantwich YF won 2-1 at Boot & Shoe Villa in a tight game with goals from Ben Starkey and Adam Vernon. Jed Beardsmith scored for Boot & Shoe.

Leaders Wistaston Ath maintained their remarkable start to the season with a 3-1 win over Crewe FC, Leo Davies, Lee Jones and Jack Gater scoring. Nathan Dewey scored for Crewe FC.

In the only league game, Betley FC (Ashworth 2, Lightfoot, Halligan, Grindley, Fisher) beat Faddiley (Scott, Hilton) 6-2.
