The Pheasant Inn in Higher Burwardsley near Nantwich has been shortlisted as The Walkers’ Pub Of The Year at the national Great Outdoor Awards 2015.

The awards celebrate the products, people and services that contribute to the enjoyment of the hills and mountains across Britain.

And the Pheasant Inn has been recognised within the public awards category, nominated by the readers of The Great Outdoors Magazine.

The pub, nestled in the Peckforton Hills, is tucked in a peaceful corner of rural Cheshire.

It enjoys panoramic views of the area, making it a popular choice for ramblers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Pheasant Inn general manager Chris Duxbury, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised as the perfect retreat for people enjoying the local hills.

The Great Outdoor Awards 2015 will take place in Kendal, Cumbria on Wednesday November 18.

The evening will bring together many independent establishments with nationally recognised brands to champion outdoor pursuits throughout the UK.

  1. Nice pub, but very expensive prices. I guess that’s the way it goes as you get towards Chester.
