Tarporley High students secure university places

Year 13 students from Tarporley High School are lining up Oxbridge university places.

Every student at the Cheshire school who applied for courses submitted entries before the January 15 UCAS deadline.

And school bosses say excellent responses students received from chosen universities bodes well for securing the best places.

The school received written praise from the Senior Admissions Tutor at University of Sheffield who commended deputy head girl Molly Peake following her outstanding Chemistry interview.

Students applied for a range of courses from Economics, PPE, Engineering and Product Design to Biomedical Sciences, English, History, Veterinary Physiotherapy and Dentistry.

William Ainsworth and Sebastian Ziman have received offers from Oxford to read Mathematics at Oriel and Lady Margaret Hall College respectively.

And Annie Robey has received an offer from Kings College Cambridge to read Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.

Tarporley High director of sixth form Chris Nuttall said: “I am delighted once again our students have excelled and demonstrated the very highest of standards in their University applications.”
