A teenage girl has been charged in relation to the assault of a 14-year-old boy from Nantwich.
The 15-year-old, from Crewe, was arrested on Sunday May 1 following an incident in a field off Wall Lane, near to Nantwich Pool, on Saturday April 30.
Following questioning the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was yesterday (May 22), charged with assault by beating and affray.
The girl has been released on conditional bail.
She is set to appear at South and East Cheshire Youth Court on Wednesday July 27, 2016.
