South Cheshire families are being entertained at the “The Lost Carnival” in Crewe’s Queens Park this Bank Holiday weekend.

The event is described by the organisers as an ‘outdoor theatrical circus adventure’.

It sees two rival carnival families – the Birds and Ingénues – fight for supremacy in The Battle of the Carnivals.

The Lost Carnival’ includes musicians, aerial performers, a trampoline acrobat, jugglers, a bicycle pianist and more.

The event also features a ‘Charleston Dance Off’ competition in association with the Axis Arts Centre, based at Manchester Metropolitan University (Cheshire Campus).

Audience members are invited to learn a swing and jive routine in preparation for the Birds versus Ingénues dance finale.

The event is organised by Wild Rumpus,  a Community Interest Company, based in Cheshire, who organise large scale family arts events in wild natural landscapes.
