A cyclist is fighting for his life after he was founded seriously injured on a road at Spurstow near Nantwich.

Police are appealing for information from the public following the incident which happened on Long Lane.

Officers were called to reports that a cyclist had been found injured at about 10.40am on Sunday (September 4).

The cyclist, a 39-year-old man from Sale, was found with serious injuries.

The man was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital by air ambulance where he is currently in a critical condition.

Sgt Andy Dennison said: “At the current time we are currently establishing the full circumstances surrounding this incident.

“As part of my investigation I’m keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident and believes that they may have any information that could assist our investigation.”
