Showtime - Crewe Lyceum Theatre, to stage a wedding fayre, and summer events

In a theatre not too far away, science fiction fans were treated to an evening of top entertainment when internationally-acclaimed ‘One Man Star Wars Trilogy’ came to Crewe Lyceum.

Directed by T J Rowe, and written and performed by Charles Ross, the trilogy relives the classic first three Star Wars films in just one hour.

And it is a must for any die hard fan of this famous movie series.

You would think it would be impossible to condense three well-loved and well-known films into a stage show.

However, Ross manages this without any problem and single-handedly performs and acts out all the characters, sings the music, flies the ships, and fights all the battles.

This type of physical comedy is clever and entertaining, and Ross clearly gives his all in his performances.

You don’t have to be an uber fan to appreciate this show.

But the better you know the films, the more enjoyment you’ll get out of the show.

As someone who grew up with an older brother, I’ve watched Star Wars many, many times and enjoyed this production immensely.

It’s simple set with imaginative lighting suits the stage well and the overall effect is simply brilliant.

‘One Man Star Wars Trilogy’ is very funny, very clever and very well performed.

His R2-D2 is out of this world.

I hope I get to see Ross in other productions in the future, I can only imagine what his next project will be.
