rope-councillors-in-clean-up-campaign

Rope parish councillors teamed up to carry out a clean-up of the village.

Councillors agreed walkways like Evergreen Way needed the same attention given to gardens.

So Bob Squirrell, Chris Flaherty, Andy Pennance, Margaret Simon and Maurice Simon clubbed together to cut hedges and cleared the pathway off Fuller Drive.

Councillor Bob Squirrell, chair of the council, said: “Thanks to all the councillors who took part and to Sue Togay our clerk.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our residents for all their efforts to keep the parish looking good.

“Many of them cut grass verges or trim hedges that are not part of their property.

“Others help by picking up litter or removing weeds from the kerbs, thanks to all of them.”

Rope Parish Council meetings are held every other month at Shavington Academy at 7pm.

Date details can be found on parish notice boards on Fuller Drive, near Evergreen Way and Oak Walk and also in the grounds of Berkeley Academy.
