The 9th annual ‘Words & Music Festival’ which opened this week at Residence in Nantwich, is proving another massive hit.

The six-day festival was opened by Mayor of Nantwich Cllr Andrew Martin and organiser Nigel Stonier.

A new team of officers recruited to tackle fly-tippers across Crewe and Nantwich, have issued 232 fixed penalty notices.

The private contractors, who started last week, aim to reduce fly-tipping, littering and dog fouling in the borough over the next 12 months.
