The body of a missing teenage boy has been found on the A500 near Nantwich, police have revealed.

It’s believed the body is of a 16-year-old boy who went missing from home on Monday.

Cheshire Police say officers were called at 9am today (November 29) to reports of the sudden death near to the A500 Shavington Bypass.

Formal identification of the boy has not yet been completed, but it is believed to be a 16-year-old boy from Wistaston who was reported missing late on Monday November 28.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner, a police spokesman confirmed.
