Visitor Andrew Lyon views a Christmas tree decoration

A ‘Christmas Tree Festival’ at St Mary’s Church in Acton helped light up the village near Nantwich.

There was a grand opening with a guest appearance from Father Christmas, a ‘Candlelit Concert of Christmas Past’ by the Gallery Singers of Shrewsbury and an open event with prize raffle and light refreshments.

More than 40 trees were sponsored and decorated by parishioners, local societies, and local businesses.

There is also a crib scene and a doll’s house village Christmas scene.

The trees will remain on display in St Mary’s Church until the last day of Christmas.
