chef Candice Brown will appear at Nantwich Food Festival in 2017

Nantwich Food Festival will welcome top TV chef Candice Brown to its food theatre this September.

The popular South Cheshire event gears up for another record-breaking weekend.

Last year’s festival attracted more than 40,000 visitors with offerings from 200 exhibitors showcasing delicious recipes from across the country.

Run by dedicated volunteers, the festival is supported by local and regional companies, including marquee sponsors Mornflake Oats and Cheerbrook.

Independent shops, historic buildings, music and street entertainment make the market town’s food festival one of the summer’s top attractions.

Headline chef Brown is the 2016 winner of BBC series The Great British Bake-Off.

She is a lover of everything vintage and will delight fans with her passion for sumptuous, decadent food.

There will be cookery demonstrations by celebrated chef Nigel Brown, and children’s television favourite Katy Ashcroft will entertain crowds with her high-energy shows.

Across the weekend there will be entertainment, exhibitions and demonstrations, offering something for everyone at this family-friendly celebration of food.

Access to the Nantwich Food Festival is free, with a packed programme of events scheduled to take place from Friday September 1 to Sunday September 3.
