Bloom gold award at chester food and drink awards

Nantwich sandwich shop Bloom scooped another Gold accolade at the Chester Food & Drink 2017 Awards.

The Pillory Street business picked up top prize in the Best Sandwich Shop category.

It follows their Gold awards in 2014 and 2016, with a Bronze awards ‘sandwiched’ between the two in 2015.

Other Nantwich businesses to be recognised at the ceremony at Chester Racecourse on Aril 19 included Cheerbrook farm shop in Willaston.

They won Bronze in the Best Local Produce Shop class.

And Nantwich coffee shop Enzo were shortlisted in the Best Cafe category.

A delighted Sarah Roberts, boss of Bloom, said: “As ever, we’re over the moon to have been nominated by our loyal customers.

“To be mystery dined and awarded Gold by the industry judges is testament to all the hard work from our fantastic team.

“We’re Really chuffed!”

More than 300 representatives of Cheshire businesses packed in to the Pavilion at Chester Racecourse to find out the winners.

And more than 44,000 votes were cast by the public and the final four nominations in each category were mystery dined or shopped by industry experts.

Taste Cheshire General Manager Lisa Edwards said: “This was an incredible array of Cheshire talent and we are proud to be promoting the true “Taste of Cheshire” through these industry important awards.”
