Square One won an exciting Premier Division Cup Final after a penalty shoot-out against Crewe Ath.

The sides were level at 3-3 after extra time.

Shane Heron gave Square One the lead after 30 minutes before a PJ Hudson penalty on the stroke of half time levelled for Crewe Ath.

Jordan Amson put Crewe Ath ahead before Danny Griggs equalised to make it 2-2.

Square One were then reduced to 10 men and almost immediately a deflected Nathan Tickle shot put Crewe Ath back in front.

Square One levelled late on with a Danny Griggs penalty to send the game into extra time.

No further goals were scored but Crewe Ath were also reduced to 10 men in extra time.

Crewe Ath missed the first penalty in the shoot-out which proved crucial as all others were converted to give Square One victory.

Premier Division Champions Railway Hotel tool their unbeaten League record to 47 matches as they beat FC Barkode 2-0 with goals from Jez Tagg and Carl Gibbs.

Railway Hotel’s last league defeat was on January 11, 2015 when they lost 1-0 to Crewe Ath.

In Division One, the race for the title goes on as Bank Corner and Betley FC drew 2-2.

Peter Heler and Jordan Southwell scored for Bank Corner with Jamie Baker and Ally Chapman netting for Betley FC.

Nantwich YF are still in the hunt following a 5-3 win at Barrel & Tap with goals from Jake Standeven (2), Tom Dale, Andy Ward and an own goal.

Rhys Potter (2) and Stuart Dow scored for Barrel & Tap.

Cricketers Arms finished their first season in the League with a 5-2 win over Sandbach Town.

Olly Dunning (2), Jack Moran (2) and Matt Robertson scored for Cricketers Arms with Addie Vass and Simon Evans replying for Sandbach Town.

Haslington FC won 11-1 at bottom club Market Tavern with hat-tricks from Steve Lloyd, Rob Crane, Chris Wustencroft.

Other goals came from Adam Smith and Rob Halewood.
