Nantwich Town have secured a new shirt sponsor deal with local firm County Insurance – as another key player departs.

The financial company will sponsor the Dabbers tops next season after a two-year deal with Fairerpower came to an end.

A record 1,000 adults and 370 youngsters took part in the popular Nantwich Triathlon and Duathlon events at the weekend.

Competitors in the adult race entered either the Sprint, Super Sprint or Fun race distance, or the Team Relay.

Office of National Statistics say absence days are at a record low after dropping from an average of 7.2 to 4.3 days a year per worker since records began in 1993.

19-month-old Harry Tidy was admitted to Alder Hey for treatment on a serious spinal condition.

The ride followed a 35-mile route from Winsford and was led up High Street in Sandbach by the St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice Routemaster double-decker bus.
