open evening south cheshire college

The recently merged South Cheshire College and West Cheshire College are hosting an Open Evening across all three of its campuses.

Young people from Nantwich and Crewe can find out more about courses and apprenticeships at the evening, on October 9 from 5.30pm to 8pm at its Crewe, Ellesmere Port and Chester bases.

Staff from across the college will also be heading up presentations aiming to provide an insight into college life as well as chair an interactive forum for guests.

Helen Nellist, Deputy Principal, said: “The majority of our current students studying with us started their journey here at college after attending one of our opening evenings.

“It really is a great opportunity to see first-hand the many opportunities, facilities and support that we can offer young people.”

Attendees can speak to course tutors from a range of curriculum areas to understand which courses are best suited to them.

Those visiting Crewe Campus on Danebank Avenue can learn about the A Level Futures Programme, including a partnership with the University of Oxford.

The college’s Apprenticeship team will also be there to provide advice and additional support.

“As the leading provider of training for young people, adults and Apprentices across the Cheshire region, everyone can benefit from plenty of practical advice, tips and information on all our courses whatever their future career entails,” added Ms Nellist.

A second Open Evening is scheduled to take place on November 20, from 5.30pm to 8pm.
