Nantwich parents urged to air views on CEC school transport plans

Nantwich parents are being urged to air their views on Cheshire East Council’s plans to change the way it funds school transport for those who need it.

Plans could include direct payments to eligible parents, only offering transport to pupils more than three miles from school, and changing its free transport policy for those with disabled parents.

The number of EU staff quitting the NHS trust in South Cheshire is on the rise, latest figures show.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT), which runs Leighton Hospital, is among just 29 trusts in the country that have seen both a rise in EU staff leaving and a fall in EU staff joining.

Nantwich War Memorial looks set to be officially ‘listed’ by Historic England as a site of ‘special architectural or historic interest’.
