Salvador reached the Presidents Cup semi-finals with a win over Sandbach Town in one of just two games to survive the weather.

The Crewe Regional Sunday League programme was hit badly by recent freezing temperatures leaving many local pitches unplayable.

Premier Division Salvador progressed to the semi-finals by beating Division One Sandbach Town 4-2.

They led 3-1 before Sandbach Town pulled a goal back.

In the final minute, Sandbach Town missed a great chance to equalise and Salvador broke away to score the fourth goal.

Keiron Banks scored a hat-trick for Salvador with Stuart Evans also scoring.

A Dave Furber penalty and a goal from Ricky Sol were the scorers for Sandbach.

Faddiley’s game was called off shortly before kick-off by the referee.

The only other game to survive was the Division One clash between second-placed Talbot and third-placed Elworth Park.

Talbot came back from a half-time deficit to win 2-1.

George Alcock gave Elworth Park the lead, before Brandon Broadhurst and an Anthony Broadhurst penalty sealed the victory for Talbot.
