New technology is bringing the past to life at Nantwich Museum after it received a £700 donation.

The museum has used the money, from homebuilder Redrow’s Nantwich Community Fund, to buy a new digital projector and stand.

Leighton pancreatic cancer group’s zip wire fundraiser

Members of Leighton Pancreatic Cancer Support group flew through the air at 100mph on the World’s Fastest Zip Line to take on the disease.

The team of patients, survivors, carers and specialist nurses, timed their challenge to coincide with World Pancreatic Cancer Day and raised over £2,500 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

A special “Elle’s Christmas” party in memory of cystic fibrosis sufferer Elle Morris helped raise almost £3,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The event, in the Nantwich Suite at Rookery Hall & Spa in Nantwich, was heled to remember the life of Nantwich youngster Elle who died aged 11 at Great Ormond Street Hospital in January this year.
