Shavington Village Festival earns funding boost from housing developer

Shavington Village Festival has secured £370 sponsorship from house developer Taylor Wimpey Manchester.

The popular event, running for more than 40 years and is organised by the Shavington Village Festival and Pantomime Committee, took place on Saturday 11th May and welcomed over 400 visitors from the village and across the region.

A Shavington dad is to tackle a 200-mile run from Nantwich to London and then race in the London Marathon to raise money for Children with Cancer UK charity.

Father-of-two Simon Benbow, 36, who himself has survived cancer, will set off on Monday April 22 from Nantwich to London over the space of five days.
