Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity is to stage a wine tasting event at Richmond Village in Nantwich to raise funds for the ‘Everybody Knows Somebody’ Dementia Appeal.
The event will be hosted by wine experts from Rodney Densem Wines, based in Nantwich.
Mayor of Cheshire East Arthur Moran will hold the annual charity dance at Nantwich Civic Hall later this month.
Cllr Moran, who represents Nantwich North and West and is also a town councillor, has chosen ovarian cancer and protate cancer charities to benefit from the dance.
Richmond Village Nantwich has chosen to support St Luke’s Cheshire Hospice in 2018 as they celebrate their 30th birthday.
A series of events are planned over the coming months to help raise funds for the hospice.

‘The Perfecto Allstars’ fund-raising concert takes place at The Studio Nightclub in Nantwich on February 2.

A Dementia Friendly Christmas Tea Dance helped raise hundreds of pounds for Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity at Leighton Hospital.
It was organised by Dementia Action Alliance at Beechmere in Crewe and refreshments were donated by Tesco Extra in Crewe.

The Andrews Panto & Plays Society (TAPPS) is performing ‘Aladdin’ at St Andrew’s Church Hall, Bedford Street in Crewe.
It will be on Friday January 12 and 13 at 7pm each day with a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.
St Luke’s Hospice volunteers will be hitting the streets again in January – to collect your old Christmas trees.
The hospice team will be collecting trees on January 11, 12, 13 and 14 in return for a donation to the Hospice.
Scores of Santas young and old braved the wind and rain to complete the annual Nantwich Santa Dash.
Families donned their best Christmas outfits for the event in aid of Hope House Children’s Hospice.

He has set up a town centre branch of his Grotto upstairs in the attic of the Nantwich Bookshop & Coffee Lounge on High Street in the centre of Nantwich.

Inner Wheel Club of Crewe members have been filling and collecting shoeboxes as part of the Rotary Shoebox Scheme.
Other local groups have contributed to the scheme are Haslington Boys’ Brigade, The Dingle Primary School, Vine Tree Primary School, Rotary Club of Crewe and various individuals.
Santa’s started out on his Crewe and Nantwich rounds – but volunteers are still needed to help him.
