Thousands of people attended the annual Crewe Lions Club ‘Charity Fireworks Display’ at Queens Park in Crewe on Sunday.
The park gates were opened at 5pm, the bonfire (making a return this year) was lit at 6:30pm and the fireworks started at 8pm.

The family of Barbara Warrington, one of Seahorse Swimming Club’s founder members, visited Crewe Lifestyle Centre to present a cheque to the club in her memory.
Barbara, who died in August, volunteered at Seahorse from 1956 until 2001, where she spent most of her time in the role of chief instructor.

A charity open day held at the miniature-gauge Peacock Railway in Nantwich has raised vital funds.
The rides were organised by the members of the South Cheshire Model Engineering Society and took place on their premises behind The Peacock Inn in Willaston.
RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre is opening its doors this weekend so the public can take a tour around the charity’s award-winning RHS Chelsea Garden.
The garden opens at the centre on London Road on September 30 for the first of five Saturday free-of-charge open days.
Small businesses and craft stalls in South Cheshire are being urged to secure a place at the St Luke’s Hospice Christmas Fair.
Bookings are now open for the fair which will take place on Saturday November 18 at the Winsford Academy, between 10am and 2pm.
A performance of ‘The Proms at Acton’ will take place in St Mary’s Church Acton on Remembrance Sunday November 12.
The concert will start at 6.30pm and include a medley of rousing music performed by the highly acclaimed Nantwich Concert Band.
