Families in Stapeley braved the cold to watch Nantwich TV star Ben Miller officially open the second phase of a new recreation area. Youngsters, mums, dads, and grandparents gathered next to Pear Tree Primary School to watch the comedian and actor cut the ribbon at the ceremony.

Wistaston Singers Choir Concert is taking place on Saturday November 19 at Nantwich Methodist Church in Hospital Street, Nantwich. The concert is in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care and will start at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm.

Staff at Stapeley Grange Wildlife centre are taking a special art exhibition onto the road around Cheshire. The ‘Wildlife Art Adventure’ display will be open to visitors at the Weaver Hall Museum in Northwich until January 2012. The exhibition brings together the works of 10 wildlife artists from around the world with diverse styles reflecting the amzing variety of animals.
Dorfolk Park in Nantwich will be the scene of another Spooktacular Firework and Halloween celebration this weekend. The event, branded as the North West’s “Biggest Fireworks Display”, is being organised by Crewe-based Blitz Fireworks.
Fireworks are returning to St Anne’s Catholic Primary School in Nantwich as it gears up for a bonanza Bonfire night celebration. FOSA (Friends of St Anne’s), who are organising the event, hope for a good turn out from the town and surrounding area.
