Three teenagers from Crewe and Nantwich scooped medals at the Cheshire Cross Country Championships.
Sofiya, Bethany and Daisie, all runners for Crewe & Nantwich Athletics Club, won a Gold medal for the Under 13s Girls Team.
Crewe & Nantwich Athletics Club have been told they can no longer host competitions because of the state of the council-owned Cumberland Arena track.
The news is a blow for the popular club which can host up to six major competitions every year.
Crewe and Nantwich athletes and organisations have been awarded grants of up to £500 by the Everybody Foundation.
The second round of grant awards saw 12 dished out, including supporting local athletes to represent their country in competitions and sporting clubs to have new equipment.

The Under 13 boys team finished in 1st place, with Jake Wilson scooping the trophy as individual winner.

Cllr Andrew Martin, a keen runner, is currently in training for this year’s London Marathon.
