Crewe Vagrants hockey members raise more than £1,000 for Bloodwise

Crewe Vagrants Hockey Club presented a cheque for £1,041.46 to Liz and Mike Boffey from the charity Bloodwise at The Vagrants Ground.

The money was raised by the club via a ‘Hockeython’ 12-hour hockey game at The Vagrants Ground in Willaston earlier this year.

Cheerbrook Farm Shop, on Newcastle Road, has raised a tasty total of almost £600 for the South Cheshire branch of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research (LLR) through its innovative ‘Bones for Bones’ scheme.

Nantwich sisters Emma and Tricia Boffey have completed a “30k for 30 years” run in honour of their tragic brother.

Will Boffey died in 2007 from acute myeloid leukaemia. His sisters completed a 30k run on the date that would have been his 30th birthday.
