The Canals and Rivers Trust is staging free “Let’s Walk” healthy walks in January in and around Nantwich.
The aim is to offer easy walking for those keen to get fitter in 2023 and to meet new people.
Over 55s in and around Nantwich are being invited to join the Canal & River Trust “active waterways” programme.
The 12-week walks programme is free to join and starts in November.
The Canal & River Trust has launched an appeal for volunteer lock keepers on canals around Cheshire.
They need lock keepers for locations near Nantwich, including Bunbury Locks, Cholmondeston Lock, Hurleston Lock, and Audlem.
An artist travelling the UK’s canals has been in Nantwich for the latest stage of his “Year of the Boat” project. Rob Pointon, 29, gave shoppers a glimpse of his work when he painted in the heart of Nantwich town centre.
