RSPCA Stapeley Grange wildlife centre and cattery in Nantwich is starting its 25th anniversary celebrations with a summer fair this weekend.
Stapeley Grange, in London Road, opened in 1994 and since then has seen tens of thousands of animals come through its doors.
Youngsters at the Wingate Centre in Wrenbury, near Nantwich, enjoyed a fun day organised by Cheshire East Council. Children were able to use the gymnasium with instruction from the trained staff.
Easter Eggs are pouring in to the Cat Radio and Richmond Village Nantwich as part of their annual appeal. The scheme, which also involves Nantwich Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road, has seen more than 100 eggs being handed in.
Richmond Village Nantwich teamed up with The Cat Radio and the town’s Sainsbury’s store to launch a Chocolate Easter Egg Appeal. More than 250 eggs were donated to underprivileged and poorly children last year.
Nantwich is planning to join in “The Big Lunch” Diamond Jubilee celebrations by staging a major event in the town on June 3. Councillors unveiled early plans to stage a Jubilee Civic Service and Parade in and around the town square and St Mary’s Church.
