Highways chiefs have closed a busy road in Nantwich to allow United Utilities to repair an ongoing leak.

A long-awaited development that will transform a busy part of Nantwich has been given the green light from councillors – despite some concerns over flood risk.
At Wednesday’s meeting, Cheshire East Council’s southern planning committee voted to approve plans for 31 apartments plus a hotel, restaurants and shops at the former gasworks off Welsh Row.
