Food waste and general recycling bins aren’t being collected in parts of Cheshire East because of the chaos caused by the A530 Middlewich Road closure, a councillor said.

Cheshire East Council has been allocated £2.2m of government funding to help provide food and essentials for vulnerable households over winter.
The household support fund runs from October 6 to March 31, 2022.
More than 22,000 supermarket and energy vouchers have been sent out to vulnerable children and families across Cheshire East – with more in the pipeline to cover the Easter school holiday.
The scheme has been coordinated by Cheshire East Council with schools, colleges, early years settings and other family support services.
Cheshire East Council bosses say they will distribute more food and energy vouchers to vulnerable children and families ahead of the February half term.
More than 11,000 vouchers have been distributed so far, funded from Cheshire East’s share of the government’s £170 million Covid Winter Grant Scheme launched in December last year.
