Students at Malbank Sixth Form and Brine Leas in Nantwich are celebrating today after a strong set of A Level results.
Malbank headteacher John Harrison described their results as “incredibly impressive” while Brine Leas head David Cole said they had achieved a “superb set of results”.
Family, friends, former and current staff at Malbank School in Nantwich joined together to celebrate the life and contribution of former headteacher Herbert Rowsell.
Herbert died late last year and his wife and children were invited to the memorial.
Malbank School and Sixth Form in Nantwich has been rated as “Good” overall in the latest Ofsted inspection.
It marks an improvement for the Welsh Row school which was graded as “requires improvement”.

Malbank School staff in Nantwich were forced to close the school today after a major water pipe burst nearby cut off supplies.
The burst pipe happened in nearby Welsh Row and meant no water supply at all on the school site.

“A Celebration of William Shakespeare” exhibition by local artist John Harrison has opened in the Millennium Gallery at Nantwich Museum.
It runs until Saturday June 3.
