Nantwich Town FC has appointed Dame Pat Bacon as Honorary President of the female section of the football club.
Dame Pat will officially support the board and senior coaching group to drive the strategic direction and vision of the club.
Tributes have been paid after the death of Bob Antrobus, a long time steward and supporter of Nantwich Town.
The club said “all its thoughts” were with family and friends of Bob who has passed away.
Work officially started today on the new 3G pitch at Nantwich Town’s Swansway Stadium.
Ground was broken on the first team pitch to start the first stage of the club’s project to convert the main stadium pitch to a state of the art 3G facility.

Nantwich Town’s 2023 Players’, Manager’s and Supporters’ Player of the Season Troy Bourne has signed a new contract.
Bourne will be staying with the Dabbers for at least the new 2023-24 season.

The financial company has retained the naming rights to the 3G facility known as “The Applewood Arena”.
Nantwich Town chairman Jon Gold is temporarily stepping down due to ill health, the club has announced today.
Mr Gold will step aside for an initial three month period.
Dave Cooke is leaving his role as first team manager at Nantwich Town, the club confirmed tonight.
In a statement, the club said the decision has been made “mutually by both parties” for the longer-term future of the club.
Nantwich Town have signed former Crewe Alex midfielder Joe Robbins.
Robbins began his career at Crewe and made his first team debut in October 2021 in the EFL Trophy against Wolves where he scored in a 3-0 victory.
The owners of the popular Stapeley House Tea Room have had a real result – by moving to a new location at Nantwich Town FC!
They opened their new permanent outlet this week called “The Tea Lounge” at the club’s Optimum Pay Stadium off Waterlode.

Nantwich Town Ladies have officially been promoted at the first attempt to the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League.
They had to wait for confirmation for a number of weeks after finishing runners up in Championship East 2020/21.
Nantwich Town have unveiled their new-look away kit – and announced a new partnership with fast-growing Nantwich firm Everything Genetic.
The three-year agreement will see the “Everything Genetic” logo on all the club’s shirts – from the first team through to the ladies and all of the club’s youth and junior teams.
