The 43rd ‘Marbury Merry Days’ two-day traditional country fair will take place on Saturday and Sunday May 11 and 12.
Gates will open at 12.30pm and the fair takes place in the field next to St Michael & All Angels Parish Church and Marbury Big Mere, near Wrenbury.
Nantwich Museum has launched a new fundraising campaign to buy four items of local treasure which have a combined total value of £850.

Alas on Thursday 28th October we got hopelessly lost in the Wrenbury/Marbury area.
A 62-year-old man has been sentenced for drink driving after crashing his Ford Ranger into a field in Wrenbury.
William Warrington, from Hollins Lane, Marbury, had left the scene after crashing off Cholmondeley Road between a telegraph pole and a metal gate at around 10.15pm on July 31 this year.

A woman with Nantwich links has written a book which tells the story of three generations of her family, who all went to war on horseback!
The book, called “A Horse, A Sword and A Rifle”, focuses on the fascinating lives and exploits of Joseph Dodd, his son-in-law Sydney Williams, and Sydney’s son John Williams.
The Swan in Marbury is to stage a get together on Friday November 2 for Bonfire Night.
