Drop in timely health checks on children cared for by Cheshire East

The number of health checks on vulnerable children in Cheshire East Council care within 20 days plummeted last year, it has been revealed.
One of Cheshire East’s key performance indicators for its care of vulnerable children is the proportion of initial health assessment requests made within 20 days for a child when they enter CEC’s care.
Leighton Hospital chiefs vow to change declining A&E performance

Hospital bosses in South Cheshire are determined to get to grips with an increasing demand for A&E as performance continues to decline.
Leighton Hospital’s A&E department had 700 more admissions in November 2019 than the same month in 2018, board members at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Trust were told today (January 6).
International pianist Kathryn Stott to perform in Nantwich
International pianist Kathryn Stott is to give a one-off performance at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich in June.
Stott is a British classical pianist who performs as a concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.
Malbank students take Gruffalo performance to Nantwich primary schools
Sixth form students in Nantwich have been getting in role to support local primary schools by staging their adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s “The Gruffalo”.
This version, which was performed by Malbank students at Highfields Academy in Nantwich, focuses on storytelling as students imaginatively use sheets to create the Gruffalo and perform the tale with a twist.
