Tickets to see headliners Dr Feelgood and Glenn Tilbrook from Squeeze are fast approaching sell-out and organisers have advised music-lovers to book early to avoid missing out on their favourite performers.

The family of former Crown Hotel owner Phillip Martin, who died in November, have ensured his legacy will live on after unveiling the Nantwich venue’s latest look.

The historic building was closed for five days while work was carried out on the bar and lounge area.

Nantwich Jazz, Blues and Music Festival organisers are pressing ahead with plans for next year’s event and hope to make it the ‘biggest and best yet’ in memory of its founder Phillip Martin.

Mr Martin, who was proprietor of The Crown Hotel, established the festival in 1996 and was well ahead with plans for Easter’s music programme when he died of a heart attack aged 65 in November.

Nantwich Town Council has agreed an entertainment deal with organisers of the Nantwich Jazz Festival to bring more entertainment to the Civic Hall.

Councillors hope the deal will see a varied range of shows at Nantwich Civic Hall in 2015/16.
