A new office development for Nantwich has been “slapped down” every time it comes forward despite no parish councils or residents ever objecting to it, a councillor said.
Willaston councillor Allen Gage (Con) was speaking just before Cheshire East’s southern planning committee again refused an application to build on land off the Alvaston Roundabout.

Jubilant Bunbury residents clapped and cheered as Cheshire East Council refused plans to “cram” up to 25 entry-level homes onto a field in the village.
Nearly 50 villagers packed into the council chamber at Crewe for southern planning meeting to oppose plans by Roger Ryder to demolish a house on Bunbury Lane and build affordable homes on the site.
Residents in Wistaston are being urged to share their views on the future of Wistaston Memorial Hall and Community Centre on Church Lane.
There are plans for the future of the building, including a rebuild as the life-span of the venue is nearing an end.

Twenty local residents have objected to plans to extend the licensing hours at Combermere Abbey Wedding Venue near Wrenbury, saying they are already disturbed by the late night noise.
