Covid cases have started to rise again among schoolchildren in Cheshire East but the numbers are significantly lower than a few weeks ago.
And some schools are continuing to urge pupils to wear face coverings in classrooms, corridors and other communal areas.

Just one school in Cheshire East had to close during autumn term because of Covid-19 – and only for the last day.
Mark Bayley, acting director of education, said the autumn term was probably the hardest and most challenging for schools during the whole pandemic.
Science is one of the few subjects in school that provides students with elements of practical learning.
Whether that is through handling experiments, developing an understanding of safety principles or gathering data and results, the importance of this subject should not be lost on pupils.

A Cheshire East councillor has said it is “completely unfair” year six SATS are going ahead next year and asked whether the council plans to challenge it.
Cllr Laura Smith (Crewe South, Lab) told a meeting of the children and families committee she had an interest because she has a child in year six.
There has been a significant increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Crewe and Sandbach areas, say council health chiefs.
Crewe accounts for one in five of all COVID-19 cases in the borough with 697 cases per 100,000.
Up to 57,000 pupils will be returning to schools and colleges across Cheshire East in the next week under fewer Covid safety measures.
Almost 180 schools and colleges have been working with Cheshire East staff to agree arrangements following the recent lifting of national restrictions.
Nantwich pupils could scoop £10,000 worth of solar panels for their school in a competition run by Cheshire East Council and energy firm Storengy.

A Crewe and Nantwich campaign to provide free laptops for schoolchildren during home learning has smashed through the target of 100 devices.
People across the area have donated old devices and a team of volunteers have been collected, repairing, upgrading and preparing them to be handed out to families who need them.
More than 90% of Nantwich parents have been offered their first choice of secondary school, says Cheshire East Council.
Parents across the borough have received offers of secondary school places from Cheshire East Council this week for children starting in September 2021.
Labour councillors have offered to support Crewe and Nantwich school headteachers in the fight to secure adequate equipment for home learning during lockdown.
They have created a Facebook Group “Lockdown Laptops for Home Learning in Crewe & Nantwich”, asking local residents to donate unused or unwanted laptops and tablets directly to schools to be distributed to children who require them.
Cheshire East Council says it is helping schools and colleges to put arrangements in place for the return of pupils to school in the New Year.
It follows latest Government guidance issued yesterday, which will see many students not back in the classroom until January 18.
