Four young seals who have spent weeks being rehabilitated at an RSPCA wildlife centre in Nantwich have begun the next stage of their journey – before being released back to the sea.

The seal pups all arrived at RSPCA Stapeley Grange at the end of last year, in separate incidents – all of which involved them having been found alone without their mums nearby.

Nantwich RSPCA staff care for seal pups hit by UK floods

Sick and injured seals orphaned by recent storms and floods which battered the UK’s coast are being transferred to RSPCA Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre in Nantwich. Six seals are being taken to the centre to help ease the pressure on East Winch Wildlife Centre.
