A man is due to appear in court today (August 18) charged with two counts of attempted murder following stabbings in Crewe town centre.
Matthew Bullows, 29, of West Street area in Crewe, will appear at South Cheshire Magistrates.
Manchester United star Nick Powell has been banned after being caught drink driving in a Vauxhall Corsa in Nantwich. The 20-year-old former Crewe Alexandra midfielder was caught over the alcohol limit in Davenport Avenue.
Nantwich Police seized drugs and cash during a raid on a house in the town. Officers from the town’s Neighbourhood Policing Unit executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act on the premises on Hillfield Place.
Police want witnesses to an alleged racial attack on a driver at a busy junction on Nantwich Road. The incident, being treated as a racially aggravated assault, happened at the junction with Ruskin Road in Crewe.

Three people from South Cheshire have been charged with human trafficking and a fourth with money laundering. The charges follow an extensive investigation by Crewe CID and the Gangmaster Licensing Authority. Officers executed warrants at five addresses in Crewe. Four men and two women were arrested.
