St Luke’s Hospice Cheshire supporters have been getting fit and active to raise vital funds for patient care at the Hospice.
Up to 80 people took part in the “100K Your Way” which saw participants completing 100km throughout the month of February in any way they choose.
St Luke’s Hospice staff are urging supporters to get outside and active this February for the charity’s annual fitness challenge “100K Your Way”.
Supporters can decide when, where and how they complete the 100K (62.1 miles) across the 29 days of February.
St Luke’s Hospice Cheshire is appealing for donations of pre-loved clothing, children’s toys and furniture to help raise vital funds for patient care.
The hospice has nine retail shops and a warehouse in popular shopping destinations throughout mid and south Cheshire, including on Pepper Street in Nantwich.
Nantwich-based Wych-Malbank Rotary Club has donated thousands of pounds to local groups and charities.
The group, which meets at Richmond Village, held their Big Birthday Bash and raised £6,100.
Staff and volunteers from St Luke’s Hospice are again offering their Christmas Tree collection service to help raise vital funds for patient care.
In January, more than 60 volunteers and St Luke’s staff will be working together to collect thousands of used Christmas trees in South Cheshire.
Doctors and nurses at St Luke’s Hospice in Cheshire are appealing for donations to fund equipment including a “cuddle bed” to bring comfort to patients this Christmas.
Staff have compiled a Christmas Wishlist of items which they would like to fund ranging from rise and recline chairs, wheelchairs and standing aids.

An inaugural ‘Christmas Tree Festival’ at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich has helped raise valuable funds for St Luke’s Hospice.
There were 48 Christmas trees on display inside the church during the three-day event at the weekend.

The new landlord of a Willaston pub is set to stage a fundraiser in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

A Nantwich swimmer who took on a 999 challenge in the summer has raised more than £1,000 for St Luke’s Hospice.
Oliver Daly, 37, swam nine miles, walked 99km, and cycled 999km as part of the challenge.
Small businesses and craft stalls in South Cheshire are being urged to secure a place at the St Luke’s Hospice Christmas Fair.
Bookings are now open for the fair which will take place on Saturday November 18 at the Winsford Academy, between 10am and 2pm.
